Welcome to Lanier Cheer Page!

Our cheerleaders hold a great responsibility of encouraging spirit throughout our student body and representing our school. You can catch our squad during football season, at the Homecoming Pep Rally, or during basketball season. Tryouts are held in the spring time for the following school year.

Cheer Tryouts for the 2026 - 2027 school year

Interested in trying out to the Lanier Cheer team for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Please save these important dates below: 

• Thursday April 9, 2026 - Cheer parent and student meeting 5pm - Parents and students will learn about the cheer program, tryout process, costs, and more.
• Thursday May 7, 2026 - Cheer Tryout Workshop 4 - 5:30pm - Students will be able to practice their dance and cheer routines in small groups before tryouts. 
• Friday May 8, 2026 - Cheer Tryouts 4 - 7:30 pm - Students will showcase their skills in front of our judges. The end time will depend on how many students participate. Students should be picked up after their performance. Results will be shared by student and parent emails on Saturday May 9th.

For those that make the team, here are some other important dates to know:

• Monday May 11, 2026 - Cheer Uniform Fittings 4 - 5:30pm - Cheerleaders will be fitted for their uniforms and submit their purchase to Varsity Spirit.
• Monday June 15, 2026  through Thursday June 18, 2026 - Cheer Camp 9am - 2pm - Cheerleaders will learn all the necessary skills, dances, cheers, and stunts for the upcoming school year. This is a required event.
