Traffic and Parking Information

It is our responsibility as a community to be considerate of our neighbors. Lanier is located in a safe, residential neighborhood. Please help us keep it that way. When dropping and picking up your students to be mindful of the traffic pattern. It was designed to keep traffic flowing and students safe.

The City of Houston is currently doing construction around the school, on both Woodhead Street and and Westheimer Road. As such it is especially important to continue to adhere to drop off/pick up traffic patterns.

You should ALWAYS follow the flow of traffic. Please no illegal U-turns or parking on side streets. This causes congestion. 

Please set a good example and follow all traffic patterns so we respect our neighbors and the safety of all Lanier students. Please see the traffic diagram below for information on driving safely to pick up and drop off your scholar.

Parking:

Parking in the administrative lot and cafeteria lot is strictly prohibited by parents/families. This includes picking up and dropping off students. 

If you are attending a school related event, you are free to park on a side street or in the parking lot by the football field. Please avoid dropping off or picking up students in this lot though, as it can cause congestion for faculty and staff. 

Always park in the direction of traffic. Be aware of signage around the neighborhood to avoid parking in a restricted area or a restricted time.
